Most libraries use e-pub for their DRM books. I don't know about the others but Nook will read e-pub and Kindle will not. Both will read PDF now. Everything else being equal I would have chosen the Kindle but since I would like to get free ebooks from my library I will be getting the Nook.
Which is better for you really comes down where and how you plan on getting ebooks and if you want to use it for other things.
