It felt like two different books. One part I felt like I was wading through a meaningless fluff.

The other was fabulous.
I would like to just walk away from the parts that I thought were superfluous but I have to admit that it doesn't make sense that the same person that wrote the profound parts would put in a bunch of crap as filler. I am going to have to do some research and read it again. I started to read the afterword and it looks like it will shed light on parts that I missed the signifigance of.
I found it bizarre that the Pilate chapers were so good but much of the rest of the book felt like a bad translation. What was up with that? I wonder how it comes off in Russian.
I loved the part with Levi and Woland at the end.
