Great to see it done!
This series, complex as it is, is amazing. Huge lore, great characters, mind-bogglingly complex battles, and heart-wrench heroics... nine books, and so many questions remaining, up to, and including, "What the hell does this world really look like?"
I've been deliriously curious, and thus hooked from the moment I met Krupp. Whiskeyjack, Hedge, Fiddler, Tehol and Bug, Rake, so many incredibly memorable characters. The nature of "Convergence." The sheer history of the planet, and its cultures, as vague as the tales are sometimes. What's not to like? Spoiler: I NEVER have shouted, "NOOOOO!!!!" while reading a book, until the moment of Whiskeyjack's death. And I had never cried through fifteen pages until then, either.
Great job, Mr. Erikson!
