But because I am dead inside
The best new book I have read is Julian Comstock by Robert Charles Wilson.
Non-fiction The Coldest Winter was good if like military history and want an easy read.
If you are talking old stuff there is lot worth reading. Water Ship Down is amazing. I have always loved the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. If you want something light but good try The Black Company. Odd Thomas by Koontz was good.

I enjoyed it. The absurdism--not all that unlike Vonnegut in many instances--made for a lot of fun.

I haven't read anything else of his. Just what he did with Clarke on that series.

Pale Fire was excellent. Especially for people who enjoy when Frost is mocked.
