1. What dystopian literature have you read?
Well, it appears I've read a good bit less than you fine folks.
-Zamyatin- We
-Ayn Rand- Anthem
-Orwell- 1984
-Lowry- The Giver
-McCarthy- The Road (though I don't consider this dystopian. It's just on the list from wiki.)
I have or am going to purchase this year:
-Atwood- The Handmaid's Tale
-Burgess- A Clockwork Orange
-Hawks- The Traveler
-Takami- Battle Royale
-James- The Children of Men
-Sargent- The Shore of Women
-Gibson- Neuromancer
-Rand- Atlas Shrugged
2. Which was your favorite, and why?
I greatly enjoyed the writing in We. Very well-written. Not very optimistic, though. The Giver and Anthem both had optimistic endings. Much appreciated in my quite depressing HS years.
3. Which was your least favorite, and why?
The Road. I just didn't get it.
4. Which did you find most disturbing, and why?
1984 and We both ended grimly.
5. Do you find it hard to read some dystopian literature because it is so disturbing?
I do indeed.

The problem with post-apocalyptic stories is that there are so many which are utter crap.
