It's okay, you can just call me Craig. - Edit 1

I've not ready any in years. However the ones you metioned sound very familiar, i.e. the 3 Urza books. I got into M:tG around the time of Urza's Saga and read the 3 books associated with that block. And I really enjoyed them. Always kinda intended to read more to see how the whole Yawgmoth thing ended but never got around to it. I wouldn't know where to start now.

Actually there were four Urza-block books - I just didn't really care for Bloodlines all that much. And you're not really missing too terribly much with the rest of the Phyrexian-invasion storyline - I kept reading them long after they turned the corner into "not all that great." And then I pretty much stopped reading them after Apocalypse (the end of the Invasion, unsurprisingly), so I don't know how they've been since then.

I did forget to mention the Ice Age cycle, though - I quite liked all three of those.
