I used too, was raised in the age when all the major talent jumped ship from Marvel/DC to start their own studios, like Image, TopCow and Homage. I read mostly Marvel, tuned to the X-men channel. I read some DC, but mostly just Batman. Image was big for me, as I followed Jim Lee to whatever project he was on. I stopped collecting when I was 20, and sold my collection of 544 comics in 2001.
