Huh. Well, I really liked a few books that others seem to think are trite or undeserving of their popularity. Coming to mind are Bach's Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Sparks' The Notebook. Mind you, I read the latter well before the movie, when it was relatively unheard of.
And when I'm reading erotica, I prefer Goodkind to anything else. I suppose I should be ashamed of that, but the truth is, it does it for me. I'm sick and twisted. I'd like to find someone else who can appreciate it as pornography like I do.
At the end of the day, though, what touches me is what touches me. *shrugs* To me, that is good writing, whatever others think.
