Hero of Ages Chapter 5, page 50 in the hardcover edition: Gher Send a noteboard - 26/04/2010 06:35:40 PM
Vin is looking at a dead Inquisitor: "That makes ten spikes. Two through the eyes and one through the shoulders, all steel. Six through the ribs: two steel, four bronze." (That was all that was included in the regular Inquisitors created by the Lord Ruler) Now this, a pewter one (which stored Feruchemical speed, and was pounded through the heart)."

And yes, the placement of the spikes is a big deal. The spikes won't transfer the power if they aren't placed right, and the closer to the "bind point", the more power transferred.

There was a discussion over at Sanderson's forums about whether Hemalurgy could steal Elantrian Powers, or Breath, and if bind points existed for those powers.

Why do you need accurate placement? You planning on trying to put it to practice? *NM* - 27/04/2010 04:44:52 PM 319 Views
