I really, really tried to read that book. I really did! It didn't work out so well. I got halfway through it and gave up. Sorry.

I'm not going to give order, just the names. Let's try it.
1. Storm Constantine- Wraeththu
2. Catherine Asaro- The Last Hawk
3. Lynn Flewelling- Stalking Darkness
4. C.S. Friedman- Crown of Shadows
5. John Pekkanen- M. D.: Doctors Talk About Themselves
6. Dan Simmons- The Fall of Hyperion
7. Richard Bach- Jonathan Livingston Seagull
8. Ted Chiang- Stories of your life (and others)
9. Peter S. Beagle- The Last Unicorn
10. Stephen King- Duma Key

Most of those are SFF, so that's good enough for me. Thoughts?


Itunes just gave me a copy of the "Last Unicorn" animated, and I loved it. The Book i loved as well. Alot on your list i've not read, sorry


Some of them are kind of niche books. A lot of people seem to love the classics, or "more" classic ones, I guess. I hope this list gets more people to try these, though.
