1. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
2. Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
3. Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson
4. The Long Ships by Frans G. Bengtsson
5. The Brothers Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren
6. Ondskan by Jan Guillou
7. Grunts! by Mary Gentle
8. The Meq by Steve Cash
9. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
10. The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne
Huh. Only two women on the list. How odd. It might have been different if series was allowed, of course.
But as such lists go, it is prone to change, had you caught me 12 years ago, magician and lord of chaos would probably be on the list, now I regard them with a healthy dose of scepticism.
Honestly, had I just seen more of my bookshelves from here, you might have got other answers.

If the series was ever published in one edition, I could consider that to be one book. So, for example, I'd call Gormerghast or Ash or Black Jewels or Chronicles of Amber or The Deed of Paksenarrion one book for the purposes of this list.
If you're just naming books you can see on your bookshelf, then you haven't given it enough thought. Aren't there books that just sink hooks into your soul?
Nah, not just naming books I see in my bookshelf, but about 3 of them likely wouldn't fit if I could just remember a few more books
But the problem is that while I like a series a lot, no individual book in the series has hooked me that much. So whatever.
I was actually deciding between Ash and Grunts, but Ash is so serious, I love grunts more due to the silly attitude.

The Rum Diary was disappointing. The Curse of Lono was much better.
