Certainly we can get extensions for things like early labor, but in most cases lawyers are like they are because we have a lot of deadlines and they are hard and fast. If we miss one or are late, our clients can sue us for damages. We HAVE to be kinda nutty to make sure we don't screw up the lives of our clients.

But think about it, what is more important to you (or should be): Screwing up someone else's life, or your own?

To me, the answer is clear.
