My boss had a baby last night. Guess what she did while she was in labor... Revised two memos and a pre-trial brief and dictated 3 letters. Yes, that is right. While going through one of the hardest things that can occur in someone's life, she billed 9 hours, at $500 per hour. So she made $4,500 while she was in labor. Women are SO much cooler than men!

EDIT: And we smell better.

EDIT 2: I don't know that she actually billed the client for that time, but I know that she could have. That is the amount of work she completed. It is possible she just got things done she needed to do and did not bill for it. I, as a lowly associate, am not privy to that kind of information!
