Hi guys. I really need your help for two research papers I'm writing on wotmania. This is part one. If you could take five minutes and fill out this survey, it would be incredibly helpful.
I will try and I hope it will be to some help for you.
-What is your race?
Caucasian, I think. I'm half Swedish and half Arabic.
-Do you think that there is an explicit hierarchy at wotmania? If so, how does it break down?
No, not really. Though I think a lot of people listens a little extra to Mike (of course) and the other Admins.
-Do you believe that there is a hierarchy at wotmania, but it isn’t officially noted by anyone? If so, how does this hierarchy break down?
Nothing officially, but Mike ruling over us all. Though I think some of us tend to think that the older members and admins are a little furthur up in a imagined hierarchy. I don't know if I make any sense.
-Do the terms Elder, Midbie, and Newbie actually mean anything for a person, or is it just a title that establishes how long someone has been at the site?
I think the terms are moslty used to show how old a member are. And to make jokes about common things most of us have done as new members.
-Do you think that the admins on the site are in higher standing than the other members?
Yes. They certainly deserve some respect for the work they do on this site. And most of them have been here for a quite long time.
-In your opinion, do those who post on the Community MB think that they are “better” than those on the WoT MB?
There are a lot of jokes about the WoT MB and its people. But I think most of the community board only think that the wot people are a little strange. Being as devoted as they seem to be...it looks a little strange.
-In your opinion, do those who post on the WoT MB think that they are “better” than those on the Community MB?
I think that they have similar feelings as we do about them. We are probably a crazy bunch according to them.
