Yes.

Hierarchy is defined as the categorization of a group of people according to ability or status. Admins and Moderators, by definition, are categorized into such groups.

-Do you believe that there is a hierarchy at wotmania, but it isn’t officially noted by anyone? If so, how does this hierarchy break down?

I guess there’s the “popular” crowd, and those members who remain “relatively unknown” – though I think this is more to do with either intimidation or background and, perhaps, style of writing.

But to be honest, one shouldn’t worry about such matters. For example, are you so popular if you manage to achieve X numbers of replies to a post that a maximum of maybe 400 people will read? If you now think of how many people there are in the world…

-Do the terms Elder, Midbie, and Newbie actually mean anything for a person, or is it just a title that establishes how long someone has been at the site?

It means something to the Newbie being labelled, but not, I imagine, to everyone else. It’s not a nice feeling having fun poked at you; I sure as heck didn’t like it, in fact, I registered this SN because I was too embarrassed to continue using my old one. I even considered quitting wotmania.

I usually go out of my way to help our new members settle in now – it’s the treatment I would have liked.

I have, in the past, browsed wotmania under the guise of another SN – and it’s amazing how differently some people treat you.

-Do you think that the admins on the site are in higher standing than the other members?

Yes, on the site. But in the real world, heck no. Some “newbie” may very well be some famous – a person we all admire, perhaps.

-In your opinion, do those who post on the Community MB think that they are “better” than those on the WoT MB?

Yes. Definitely.

No so much.
