-What is your race?
Caucasian. French and Irish to be specific.
-Do you think that there is an explicit hierarchy at wotmania? If so, how does it break down?
Of course. Mike (wotmania), the admins (which differ on each board) and then everyone else.
-Do you believe that there is a hierarchy at wotmania, but it isn’t officially noted by anyone? If so, how does this hierarchy break down?
There is. It tends to be dominated by the more frequent posters with the "long time" posters often being seen as 'more important' than the shorter term posters. However someone who posts frequently may well be more respected than a much longer term person who posts rarely.
There are also "specialties" on Wotmania. When people want answers on Chemistry, they might write to Adrian or SynEve. If they want linguistics or middle eastern archaeology it would be Tom (the Voice of Lew Therin). On the WoT board I have the rep as the medieval weapons, armor and combat specialist.
-Do the terms Elder, Midbie, and Newbie actually mean anything for a person, or is it just a title that establishes how long someone has been at the site?
Some people seem to think they are meaningful. Perhaps at one time they did. I think that their meaning is considerably less than it was (unless your S/N is Jarlaxle).
-Do you think that the admins on the site are in higher standing than the other members?
For the most part, they're invisible. Interestingly, they tend not to be the 'higher profile' members of a board for the most part - which probably means they're a good choice.
-In your opinion, do those who post on the Community MB think that they are “better” than those on the WoT MB?
There are certainly some who believe this to be true. I don't. I couldn't say what the percentage is.
-In your opinion, do those who post on the WoT MB think that they are “better” than those on the Community MB?
I've never noticed this kind of thing - but the folks over there don't really talk about the community board.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
