Hey there - guess what?
Today I received official word from the University of Florida that my thesis has been accepted.
This means [drumroll please] that I now have a Master of Arts
Three years ago, when I was accepted into UF, I publicly thanked everyone here for their support whilst I went through the grad application process. And I'd like to thank you all, again.
I rarely post or reply, as I'm sure many of you are still trying to figure out just who in the heck I am. But that's okay if you don't know me. I've come here often over the course of the last few years - many times when I was looking for a diversion from the insanity that is grad school - and y'all never ceased to amaze me. You fight, you make-up, you laugh, you share, you dream. Sure, a book may have brought you here, and you, much like me, may find your interest in the series waning, but you stayed and made friends. You posted thoughtful questions, made wry observations, and are always willing to listen. And I have always enjoyed visiting - even if I couldn't stay for long, and didn't recognize many of you. The community has endured and I think I've benefitted from you.
And I appreciate that I can share my wonderful news with you. Thanks.
Thanks for just being a great community, and a wonderful group of people.
A special thanks to Mike for making all of this possible. Thanks to him and all the admins who work so hard to keep this place running smoothly.
Y'all rock
