This week: Side by Side

Can you find your way around a dictionary? Look at these pairs of definitions (all taken from dictionaries in xreferplus) and try to decide which words they describe.

Each word in a pair is next to the other word in the dictionary. For example, if the definitions are "The young of a horse or of a related animal/A mass of tiny bubbles forming on the surface of liquids", the answer would be the words "foal" and "foam", which are next to one another in Chambers 21st Century Dictionary.

This week's xrefer quiz is a real pain. I managed six, somehow
