Dear Logic Ninja, please ignore the way he is putting it and take the basic message into consideration. Weiramon has valid points on the subject and your behavior. You have treated others the same way that rankles you so.And to be honest it takes a lot of self control not to respond to you in kind sometimes. Maybe before you get mad at how people treat you, you could go back and review your own behavior and responses and try to be honest and objective in asking yourself whether you started the problem or what you did to egg it on or make it worse.
At one point in time my husband told me basically the same thing when I was complaining about other people and having problems at work. And asked me if maybe I weren't part of the problem. I was horribly mad at him for suggesting such a thing but it slowly sunk in and I finally had to admit to myself he was right. The way I treated people did effect how they treated me. And I had a lot to work on. I think that it was one of the best lessons I ever had. He wasn't saying it to me to be mean. He wanted to help me. I am not saying this to be mean to you at all. You have a good heart even if you have some rough edges. Please take this in the spirit it is offered. And it probably wouldn't hurt to read the things Weirmon asked you to. You could have a really interesting discussion if you took the trouble to understand where he is coming from.
Dear Weiramon,
Please try to be patient in your responses to other people. My daddy pointed out to me after I had gotten done with a religious argument that I thought I had "won" that when it comes to matters of the Spirit, contention like that drives away the spirit and no one was ever convinced of anything in these matters without the Spirit. Contention is of the devil. You have so much good to share with others and it is effective until you loose your temper. I have enjoyed your religious posts like the one you did today about the Sihks. Please try to follow your peace making instincts that I suspect inspire you to make those kind of posts that educate people about eachother's beliefs. Those are good.
Love to both of you,
Teresa
