Well, you surely are not a boy.......
Members of the female gender are all "girls" to me; they are also all "Ladies", be they 1 or 100.
It comes from my grandmother who told me, with a steely glint in her eye and a wooden spoon in her hand, that the term "Woman" was demeaning and derogatory. In her day, "women" were servants - as in "Get the women to do that" or "Have the cleaning woman take the ashes out of the fireplace". Her view was that the world was made up of three classes of folk - Ladies, Gentlemen and Children.
I will not go against my granny, not even for you, sweetheart . She was fearsome, all 4'10" of her. Sorry.
I more than understand. Very wise woman... I see she was a great influence on you. We need more 4'10", wooden spoon welding grannys.
*passes over a box of Kleenex (the big ones, extra large and extra-thick), a consoling box of chocolates and a bunch of, let me see, blue irises*
How pretty!! *puts iris in vase and devours the chocolates*
There, there. Mothers of four can still be "girls", you know, but if you really want, you can be "Lady Denice"
Makes me sound regal.
P.S. BTW, Mrs. Druid is Denise
You have the most impeccable taste.
