And since you're reading this, I suppose you want to know why. Well, it all pretty much has to do with Anne.

You see, I was going to go to her prom. The conditions for this were that a friend of mine would have to come too (I am carless, and sense-of-direction-less). So about a week ago, that friend told me that she could, in fact, not go. I've tried, since being told this, to find another friend, to no avail.

So I'm talking to another friend (who tells me that if I'd told him about it a couple weeks ago, he would have gone ), and he suggests the bus. "Holy sh!#," I'm thinking, "I'm a f*%ing dumbass!" When I got home, I checked Greyhound (I know of no other bus companies in Edmonton), only to find out that it wouldn't work. For one, I'd have to pay full price (not the one-week-in-advance discount of somewhere near $180). Second, I would have to get there at 12:30am, only to take a 25:40 ride. This would not do if I left on Friday morning, because I would arrive at 1 in the morning on Saturday and have to find a hotel, and such. Yadda yadda, I'd have to leave Sunday evening at 6:15pm to get home 1 day, and 3 hours later. Which would get me home 13 hours late for work.

So do you want to know why I feel like sh!#? Because I can't go to her prom. Because I didn't think of the bus sooner, and because I only requested three days off (since it's a 9 hour drive due to the fact that driving wouldn't have 20 stops like taking the bus does). Because I'm a dumbass. But do you know what this can also mean? I might just use this bus idea sometime this summer
