You know most liberals like yourself believe that we spend ourselves out from a recession/depression/stagnation like Roosevelt did during the 30s.
oh dear oh dear. Don't catgorise me. I don't mind a BIT of pump priming of the economy during a recession, it's a normal thing to do, HOWEVER there is a limit to what can be afforded. The current US budget deficit is hugely unsustainable. It is TOO big, I firmly believe in trying to keep the budget in balance over the course of an economic cycle. It isn't an exact science but current levels in the US are too high.
in future, don't try to categorise me.
Think of all the jobs it would create and all the material gains from a lunar base. Mining of the moon, colonization, travel to and back.
at what cost for what benefit? At what risk?
See the article below when youre not drunk. It describes what helium 3 is used for and how it can be hugely beneficial to the world.
too expensive and I wont bother reading it. A trip to the moon is too costly and it is unsustainable. I want to see some real scientific research rather than anything you might just have swallowed whole.
and to add on I am surprised that you haven't seen fit to mention how much such extraction might cost and even how far research is off of making great use of this.
