Nope. Not gonna happen. Sure, we might improve our day-to-day living with machines/technology/etc. However, society as a whole is going deeper and deeper into the toilet.
Really? I'd say we're a good deal ahead of the days of bear-baiting, slavery, and total oppression of women, for example.
Society as a whole is improving slowly, but surely. Today's American society is far more palatable than medieval society, surely?

Humans have always done sh|tty things to each other, but hey, as of recently, we've finally begun to recognize that those things are, well, wrong.

Besides, "not gonna happen" has nothing to do with it. I think that God making everything better is not gonna happen. And yeah, maybe humanity as a whole will never really get better on its own.

So should we not try? And should we not hope?
