...waiting for my flight back to the UK, which doesn't depart till 11.30, and I figured it's time for a survey. Oh, and I've only got 10 minutes of internet time left, because I can't be bothered to buy more, so it'll have to be a quick one.
1. Have you ever been on an airplane?
Yes.
2. Where did you go? Or if you fly too much to say all, where do you go most of the time?
I went to Denmark, and back from Denmark, via Singapore each way.
3. Do you like flying? Why (not)?
Yes, because you can see lots of clouds (pretty).
No, because if you get bored, you can't do anything (sleep didn't come easily for me on planes), and most of the time you can't easily even get out of your seat either.
4. Don't you just love sitting at an airport waiting for your flight? I know I do. So many people to watch, so many things to see....
I didn't find departure lounges terribly interesting.
5. Any funny plane/airport related stories?
This one time, at pilot camp...
6. What do you usually do during your flight? Just sit and wait? Read? Sleep?
Watch movies, play games. (Singapore Airlines has reasonably good amenities there).
7. Window or aisle seat?
Window.
8. Have you ever missed a flight? If so, what did you do?
Nope.
9. What's your favourite airport? Why?
I have been to three that I can recall. So, foreign language notwithstanding, I'd say that Copenhagen was my favourite, as it's more pleasant than Singapore's large, empty passages, and more exotic than home.
10. If money wasn't an issue, would you travel by plane more often?
Yes.
11. If you could take a flight to anywhere you want, but you'd have to leave right now, with just enough time to pack a suitcase, where would you go?
Stockholm. (Partly because I know I could get a place to stay there.)
12. Has the airline ever lost your suitcase? Which airline was it?
No.
13. It looks like I'll be flying a lot in the years to come. What airlines should I avoid?
I read, in a magazine that's about 8 years old now, that China has (had) something on the order of 10% of the world's domestic flights but 70-80% of the world's air accidents. Things might have changed by now, or they might not.
13 questions....that'll have to do. Thank you for your time, and enjoy, or something. I'll go and find myself some food now, because they don't even feed you on these short flights....a sandwich with a slice of cheese that tastes like plastic is the best I can hope for. I'll read your replies tonight when I get back
