1. Have you ever been on an airplane?

Far too many times

2. Where did you go? Or if you fly too much to say all, where do you go most of the time?

Other Australian cities, mainly Perth or Melbourne. At the moment off to China a lot, usually Kunming via Hong Kong.

3. Do you like flying? Why (not)?

I do not dislike it, but I can easilyb live without it. Beats walking.

4. Don't you just love sitting at an airport waiting for your flight? I know I do. So many people to watch, so many things to see....

No. I want to be on the plane...flying home.

5. Any funny plane/airport related stories?

I have been lucky - apart from the time, many years ago when flying Malev (Hungarian) when some Libyans decided they wanted to make a pot of tea. They were about to light the fire in the aisle before they were stopped

6. What do you usually do during your flight? Just sit and wait? Read? Sleep?

Read. I force myself to sleep.

7. Window or aisle seat?

Long haul - window. Short haul - aisle. Hong Kong is ten hours from here, London about 22, so window for those.

8. Have you ever missed a flight? If so, what did you do?

Once. I took the next one

9. What's your favourite airport? Why?

Hong Kong. It is so efficient.

10. If money wasn't an issue, would you travel by plane more often?

No.

11. If you could take a flight to anywhere you want, but you'd have to leave right now, with just enough time to pack a suitcase, where would you go?

Southern Chile - like Norway in topography and I really want to go there.

12. Has the airline ever lost your suitcase? Which airline was it?

Singapore Airlines lost a bag many years ago. It turned up the next morning with much apology. No other problems

13. It looks like I'll be flying a lot in the years to come. What airlines should I avoid?

Ones that lose money is a good start. Ones you have never heard of. Charter airlines with one plane. Ones with old planes.

I'll go and find myself some food now, because they don't even feed you on these short flights....a sandwich with a slice of cheese that tastes like plastic is the best I can hope for.
