1. Have you ever been on an airplane?
Many times
2. Where did you go? Or if you fly too much to say all, where do you go most of the time?
Wow....um....let's see....Hawaii (1), New York (3), Pittsburgh (1), Charlotte (1), New Orleans (2), Hartford (1), Seattle (3), Chicago (1), Ft. Myers (on Friday ). Having lived in four different states aids in your need to travel.
3. Do you like flying? Why (not)?
I'm neither here nor there with it. Faster than riding a mule, so that's good.
4. Don't you just love sitting at an airport waiting for your flight? I know I do. So many people to watch, so many things to see....
No.
5. Any funny plane/airport related stories?
I had a hot chick fall asleep on my shoulder on a flight. Good stuff. I also had a college baseball player fall asleep on my shoulder. He had never been on a plane before and was so nervous, practically convulsing, that the team trainer gave him a valium. He zonked out and leaned on my shoulder, sleeping like a baby. I startled him awake, but not before his teammates took incriminating pictures to make his four years at the University of Rhode Island a living hell.
6. What do you usually do during your flight? Just sit and wait? Read? Sleep?
Sleep
7. Window or aisle seat?
Window, prop your head against the bulkhead and sleep
8. Have you ever missed a flight? If so, what did you do?
No, though I very nearly missed one once. That'll teach me to allow myself more than three hours to get to JFK.
9. What's your favourite airport? Why?
Las Vegas. Slot machines. Charlotte has a nice, clean airport. Both New York airports suck, and having had more flights originate or end at JFK and LaGuardia than any other, I think I'm qualified to make that call. LaGuardia is easy to get into but flights are invariably delayed. JFK has a better ontime record but is a royal pain in the ass to get in and out of. Construction projects that started a couple lifetimes ago are still ongoing, I don't think they will ever finish. Newark is actually easy to get to and has a better ontime record than either, but bears the onus of being in Newark, a city I affectionately call "Satan's Asshole". I'm pretty attached to my home airport, Seattle-Tacoma International. Parking is cheap and plentiful, flights are usually ontime, traffic isn't as bad as most I've seen, and checkin/security is quicker than most.
10. If money wasn't an issue, would you travel by plane more often?
Um, yeah, because I'd take more vacations.
11. If you could take a flight to anywhere you want, but you'd have to leave right now, with just enough time to pack a suitcase, where would you go?
Hawaii
12. Has the airline ever lost your suitcase? Which airline was it?
No
13. It looks like I'll be flying a lot in the years to come. What airlines should I avoid?
ATA *shudders*. They only operate in the US, so you may be safe. But I've never been on an ATA flight without problems.
