YES YES YES YES GOD YES. I have been saying this for a while. An anime verison would be SOOOOOO much better than a live action version! Plus it would be much cheaper to film so they could spend more time telling the series properly.

Same here. Plus, it's easier to get people to do a voice for longer than live action, ie you can still have the same voice talent for 20 years, whereas you're never going to get an actor or actress to devote their whole self to it for that long.

If they brought in some of the Japanese bigwigs, hooked up with soem American Money, they could created marvelous movies. A lot of people hear animation, think cartoons and the animated Lord of the Rings and grimace. What they don't know about are Lodoss and a 100 other titles in Japan that do great things for the fantasy genre, and could do more if they weren't pumped out every year as they are, and then horribly translated. I've been waiting for more companies over here in the US to jump on the bandwagon for a while, now. Probably would have, too, if Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, hadn't bombed so much as a cgi-snimated feature marketed at adults.
