If it's the animation, okay.

If it's the influence of Japanese culture in it...okay.

If it's the story or drawing...well then, that varies dramatically across "anime." Some people see something like Pokemon and decide they hate anime. Others see the 13th episode of some series and it makes no sense and they decide they hate anime.

Or, have you watched a lot and hate it after broad experience?
