1. Have you ever been on an airplane?

Many many times.

2. Where did you go? Or if you fly too much to say all, where do you go most of the time?

Usually Spain. It used to be Dublin-Bradford every six weeks.

3. Do you like flying? Why (not)?

Not particularly, but I won't let it stop me. I don't like it because it does horrible things to my ears.

4. Don't you just love sitting at an airport waiting for your flight? I know I do. So many people to watch, so many things to see....

I hate hate hate airports now. I used to love them.

5. Any funny plane/airport related stories?

Funny as in painful? I was on my way to Spain, with an atrocious hangover. Just as the plane hit cruising height, every blood vessel in my left ear burst. Not good. Blood all over the place, stewardesses staring in shock and not a drug to be found.

6. What do you usually do during your flight? Just sit and wait? Read? Sleep?

Read straight through, I can't sleep.

7. Window or aisle seat?

Window.

8. Have you ever missed a flight? If so, what did you do?

Yep. I didn't have a passport coming through Malaga and they wouldn't let me on. I went standby on the next flight, went through passport control at a busy time and ta daaa. And I missed one from Stansted to Dublin when I was on my way home from Pompeii a year and a half ago. That was because my bus from Naples got delayed.

9. What's your favourite airport? Why?

I can't stand any of them

10. If money wasn't an issue, would you travel by plane more often?

I fly whenever I want to fly. Ireland is small, we don't need planes to get around

11. If you could take a flight to anywhere you want, but you'd have to leave right now, with just enough time to pack a suitcase, where would you go?

If I could cut a deal that had someone in particular meet me there, Macchu Picchu.

12. Has the airline ever lost your suitcase? Which airline was it?

Aer Lingus lost my TV between Dublin and Bradford. They found it again, very quickly.

13. It looks like I'll be flying a lot in the years to come. What airlines should I avoid?

Ryanair. They are appalling beyond belief. Aeroflot were worse. The people that do charter flights to Spain. Europair or some such.
