Personally, I like p hart's take..."It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem."

I think it's one of the most selfish things a person could possibly do. It's not at all fair to the people who care about you (that's the indirect 'you'--I'm not referring to you directly).

Of course, my faith in God and Jesus helps too. I know he's bigger than any problem I could possibly face here on earth!
