He used to annoy me at first, to tell the truth, because he posted a lot and when people post a lot it bugs me because I feel like they want attention. But then I started reading his posts, and he's smart, funny, sharp, Canadian... in many ways, he reminds me of me. And I've worked hard to be a good person, so when I see similar qualities in someone else, I like it.

I love Lozz. She's wonderful, and in my heyday of involvement with internet friends, she was probably my closest one. I was with her through a lot of difficult times, and I'd like to think I made a difference. The fact that I don't really talk to her much now is hopefully a sign that her life is great, so she's busy and doesn't need me to turn to at all. Not that that was the entire relationship, of course... she helped me understand a lot of things about myself, and gave me a place to stay in Australia. She always will hold a special place within me.

What surprised me was not the change from the Bad Ash that existed when I came on the scene to the one I know now, but that I got along with him so well in person. I had a great time hanging out with him in Seattle... and yet I remember him when I was a newbie, intimidated by his frankness and rough exterior. Yet I soon found out that he was smart, funny, and interesting. I never keep in touch with him, but that has nothing to do with the respect I have for him.

Burr's real smart-like... I still remember that in my heyday, he wrote a survey. I hated surveys, but I checked it out and it was the most interesting mish-mash of questions I ever saw on this message board. I can't remember what any of them were, but still... best survey ever.
