With poll tax, no extra money for scottish pensioners, because they wer used to the cold.Hers was the reason why there wasn't a single tory in scotland at one point.

The poll tax was disgraceful As I think we have established . Manufacturing and other similar jobs were destroyed in Scotland which in the big picture of things was Ok, but there was no establishment or much effort to bring new jobs there which was very poor. This pretty much lead to the emergence of the SNP as a major political party(and Plaid Cmyru in Wales), which from my perspective is a bad thing.

Wasn't it 1997 when the Tories were wiped out up there? I know there are quite a few Tory Scottish MP's, do you think they will do better at the next general election and win one or two seats?
