It's funny... I've talked to her a few times, even in person on the phone, but more than anything, she's always been friends of people I'm good friends with here. So, before I even ever interacted with her, I knew she was cool from other people whose judgement I trusted. Interacting with her has only confirmed that impression.

My bro. Along with Steph, the person I consider I know the best of anyone here, spending in total over a month living with the fellow in Australia, and a few trips to England. Really easygoing, friendly, smart, dedicated, he's someone who I easily consider myself to be friends with, "in real life". Too bad I haven't talked to him in so long, but I'm sure if we met up it would be pretty much the same as last time we saw each other. I remember how bizarre it was the first time I met them in Heathrow Airport, when we all were struck with the idea that we were meeting up with an old friend that we hadn't seen in awhile, instead of someone we had only interacted with online. Geoff, here's wishing you happy times!

Interestingly, he's a big reason I came back here in my most recent run. It was his "Me." post that got me into posting again, and it's been fun. Despite his newbie-killing veneer, he played that up as a reputation to disguise the fact that he was really a respectful, intelligent, interesting guy. It's good to see that he's grown to be very open-minded and nice from that outspoken 16 year old that I remember him being in my first year here. Too bad he's not around too much, and I wish him luck in the military or wherever he goes.
