As member of a band i can tell: You're absolutely right!

People singing/humming loudly is quite annoying, especially when they make a drowned cat sounds friendly. I have an ear for such things, and i always refuse to watch Idols or something. SHEESH, how pathetic.

Sorry to hear you have to endure this at work, and i wish you good luck.
