Canada & the US will merge, Euorpe will merge. Australia will swallow NZ & probably many of the pacific islands.

What Pacific islands are you referring to? Unless you mean to say Australia(population 19 million) will manage to swallow the entire Indo/Malay archipelago(population 260 million), which frankly, I find a little hard to swallow. Even if Australia is a prosperous nation, its population and GDP is still smaller. Of course you could mean to say that Australia will absorb islands like Samoa, though I'm not certain the Americans will relinquish it without a fight. Or maybe you are referring to Fiji, Vanuata(hate them, ask me why later), New Caledonia, Wallais and Futuna, Tokelau, Tuvalu(hate them too), Tonga, Niue, or any number of other tiny islands with a total economic output of rich tourists and fish. The days of jodhpurs and pith helmets are long over, yet the western mentality that much of the world is vacant has never quite dissappeared.
