I've been working hard, very hard, at work recently, and haven't had much time to post. So, hey everyone. Anyway, I have a little news to share.
I had my first review at my job, and I was expecting a great one. What I wasn't expecting was that I'd get fired. Well, I got fired... for not working hard enough. I thought they were joking, especially since I've been putting in a lot of extra time recently. But, no.
The manager that I work with is new and terribly overwhelmed. And we've been terribly under the gun over the past few weeks with our financial close. We had to deal with two years worth of mess from other people. Well, he decided that I wasn't doing enough (seriously was doing half his job the past 2 months) and something needed to be done.
Well, I just finished all the extra work, have kept up with our new stuff and have even created a bunch of new tracking systems and procedures to make us all the more efficient. I was feeling good, hard work paying off. Then, I got fired.
Thanks for letting me vent a bit. I'm cleaning up my desk and closing some financials, but I'll be out of here very soon. If any of you know of a good job, I'm in the market.
