Oh the horror. I quickly raced over here, but I'm affraid of the long term effects of the exposure.
... you're afraid you might stop reading what others have posted and thus post something that as already been said half a dozen times?
... or that, after reading a post containing a correct major issue and a faulty minor one, you might start flaming the writer for the mistake and ignoring the rest?
... or that you might be the third to do so, even after the author had conceded the point?
... or that you might fail to realize in the case mentioned above that the minor issue, if corrected, would undermine the major one?
All of the above happened last week. I was the author of the post containing the mistake.
I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.
