The Project is a pretty time honored part of the community here. For those who are new to it, or not sure what it is, here are the basics
The Project was started by Moonhair. It was a camp game that got brought to life in our cyber world. Tashmere continued on with it, keeping the spirit of it alive. The next to work with it was Hurin. About the 3rd person through, I think things become tradition
The Project is a community builder. It lets us tell people that we appreciate them, or gives us a chance to say "Hey, I'd like to get to know you better." It gives us a chance to see there is more to this community than "Flaming", that there are people outside our own "groups". It gives you an idea of the number of people here and how they affect each other.
The rules are simple, very, very simple. In the camping version, you go around the group and say something nice about the others. Same goes here....
With those you know say something nice. The spirit of this Project means there are no negative comments, nothing hurtful. It is to bring a smile to people and a warmth to their day.
As previously stated, this thing is getting huge. Don't let that deter you. Your "job" is to say something nice about the people you know. With 8592 on a list and you only knowing 100, it wouldn't be any more difficult than their being a 100 people on a list that you knew and responding to each.
I'll be honest, I was heisitant to do this again, though I think it should be a yearly thing, because of complaints (and, I'll be blunt, it is mostly the "elders" complaining). So, I took a poll in chat, this means something to a lot of people, so it will continue until such time as Wotmania is no longer functional or Mike tells me to stop
No one is being forced into doing this, and this site is about much more than "elders" so PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT to the whiners and a hearty "Get to work!" to the rest of ya
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
Missed and loved
Kory Joe
