China has apparently closed down some 8600 internet cafés the last months because they want to battle pages hostile to the government and porn. They will also be closing places which let minors in. However, despite the restrictions, the number of internet-users increases in China. From 60 to 80 million over the last year.

I think it is sad that they are going to this point. And increasingly open press will allow people to make up their own minds about things.

In this context, I suppose I should mention that I have begun thinking that I have been somewhat injust to Nixon.
