It was sarcasm. Blair has obviously moved Bush further toward the European position than any other US president has ever been. Thus (sarcastically) these diplomats could only be complaining about that, right?
If the British manage to remove Blair, watch as the US slides back away from that position and takes a much harder line on the Israel-Palestine peace process.
The thing with bush is, hr just looks for votes, he is scared to stand up for things which he thinks are correct, because they might lose him votes,thats weak imho.
