The Mississippi Delta is in that whole "Cajun country", though...is THAT your accent?
I mean, yes, part of the Mississippi Delta is Cajun..more accurately Cajun is in south louisiana, and the people are generally from French descent.
Louisiana is pretty much the Mississippi Delta, in that, it used to be a 50 mile wide flood zone before the rerouting and levies. That's why it's so damn flat and wet. I was born in Southern Mississippi and raised in Northern Louisiana...though the accents aren't horribly different.

Exactly..they don't get real southern people to play southern parts, either, and I don't know why that is.
