That there would be no separate Palestinian state or, at least, that there would be no talk of a Palestinian state until they met many more conditions. As I said though I could have be wrong on that.
A great stink was made when Hillary Clinton, for instance, seemed to endorse a Palestinian state, and she backtracked quite quickly at her break from official US and Clinton Administration policy, which was to have no position on the establishment of a Palestinian state a priori Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
Bush has brought the US much closer to the European as well as the British positions, largely due to Blair's influence.
