reminds me of one of my gf's a few years back; when we'd walk around holding hands and guys would start yelling at us about needing 'a real man' and stuff like that. it was very frightening, but we were never assaulted like you and your partner were. it's really angering that the police can't do anything, and a little scary as well. *hugs* i hope you guys feel better soon.
