True...it would have been something of an oversight from Henry. An idea though; he didn't pluck the CofE from nowhere; it must originally have been an edited Catholic church which did not acknowledge the Pope. St George might have been something that was kept, since it was seen as being a national thing rather than a generic Catholic thing.
I'm not sure that Anglicanism is entirely removed from saints anyway; I certainly know of at least one Anglican 'All Saints Church'. Not having been Anglican though, I don't know an enormous amount about the specifics, and the attitude towards (already existing, rather than new) saints is something I don't know about.
