OK, so I dont really mean for this to be a rant, but if it is I do apologise....


My new boyfriend & I jsut got back from the pub & took the dog out for a quick walk, we're just walking up to our front door when a group of (around 5 lads, a woman & a dog)people start shouting at us...

Well we get to our front door & this group start having a go, they push my boyfriend to the ground - I plead with them to leave him alone, which just invites the attention my way.

So I'm taking several punches to the head & end up with a lump of wood being wacked around my head.

We manage to get in through the front door - two passers by decide not to help us!!!

I will stand up for the woman in the group, although she was no hero, she pulled the guy that decided to beat on me off.

So we shut the door & I braek down in tears, my partners not much better.

He gets on the phone to the police & I get on the phone to my work!!??? (I have flight tomorrow with VIP's & wont be able to do it with a butchered face!)

The police turn up, we give them the descriptions & even where these people live... they identify them & phone us back - now my boyfriend is really scared, & wont prosecute as it could possibly effect his business (run from his home - he's an accupuncturist) & I am unable to prosecute even the guy that beat me up.

I was being selfless & was more worried about the dog & have come off far worse than my boyfriend - Split lip, fat lip, bruising to my face & arm, and that is all I can see so far!

Now the police cant so anything I wish they could. I cant go to work.

It really makes me wonder why I even bother being so nice & helpful to people, maybe I will stop & think whether I really should get involved with anything next time.

I pity these people, but I am pretty sure they will be able to live with themselves
