True, to an extent. But I would say most people tend to vote on how much a party is a general reflection of their views rather than on one or two key issues...basically, they are voting in a Government that will, over all, do the best job of governing in a way they like.
Some people vote that way. A fair few vote for the party they think most likely to stop the party they don't want to get in rather than for ideological reasons.
