this makes me heavily pro world anything and i am for world government and see the rise of supranational states as a logical step in that effort.
In theory I would be in favour of a world government too. I think it is only really the true way to eradicate poverty, famine, etc. However, I don't think that the world is ready for it, but more importantly I don't think supranational states are the way forward, if anything they are more of a hinderance.

Yep. Though I read just before I left home that most Germans now would prefer not to be in the Euro. It made interesting reading, I wish I still had it or a link. Oh well :/
ps. the only thing australian about me is birth, in terms of my attitudes on the world they are highly european. i suppose parents play a great influence.
Probably the biggest influence there is, I would have thought.
