Playcalls and such make the game. It's also the sport where the coach matters the most. Seeing a trick play at the right moment turning the game is awesome. I also like the "any given sunday. . ." aspect. Any team really can beat any other team. . .unlike alot of other sports where the same teams return to the championship time and again (hate yankees and lakers), the superbowl is different every year.
If you ever get the chance, go to an american football game. The atmosphere is amazing. . .seriously nothing brings people closer together. This is also the only sport where the fans REALLY matter.
One more thing, what the hell do you want them to wear? baggy pants? They'd be dragged down wasy easier with anything besides what they wear. If they didn't wear pads, they'd all be dead or seriously injured at the end of each game.
and, anyways, soccer is unbelievably boring.
