that's like saying that one has to be part of a minority group in order to support the rights of people in that group. these women aren't asking for personal damages.

then again, i can't see that anyone could have the legal standing to support this kind of suit. as mierin put it, 'it's silly.'

...i don't believe they have legal standing. they disagree, and are therefore suing. but, of course a group that wasn't affecting by a given action can't sue over it. just as if say a family member of mine were killed in an accident, you can't sue on my behalf. whether they want personal damages or not, they are claiming they have legal standing to sue because of their race and heritage. so, i think their race is germaine to the story. its okay if we disagree tho, 'cause i'm not gonna send rabid quokkas out to tickle you to death or anything for your having the temerity to disagree with me.

i do agree with you that the whole thing is silly.

Frankly, I don't know why anybody listens to actors about anything other than acting. Since when does the ability to fake emotions on cue like a sociopath make one an expert on anything?
