Far more in dribbling a football around three defenders and slotting it neatly into the top righthand corner of the net.
Not just - throw...run...catch.
Or - grab ball...run into opponents.
Not much skill involved? Are you nuts. You try mkaing a 40 yard diving catch with 2 guys draped all over you. You try running the length of the field with 11 guys chasing you. You try throwing an oblong ball 50 yards downfield with a margin of error of about 18 inches. I could go on and on.
And why are you bitching? You are the one who asked for the "American" reasons for liking the game. I am giving them to you. If you want to debate the reasons for Americans not liking cricket then we can really get into it.
